Mission Statement and Goals
Friendship Celebration Preschool is an Early Childhood Development Program and is a ministry of Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church. The purpose of F.C. Preschool is to nurture each child in the love of Christ, providing a place of quality learning in a warm, caring and loving environment.
Our Three Main Goals:
1. Spiritual Growth: We enroll children (families) from all different faith backgrounds. An age appropriate Bible lesson is introduced by the teacher each week, and also reviewed as a group during weekly chapel-time. Christian concepts are shared daily.
2. Social & Emotional Growth: Children are provided daily guidance as they learn to live with their classmates in a God-pleasing manner, to grow in social living, to adjust to life outside the home, and feel a secure and happy relationship between their parents and school. Classroom opportunities help each child have a positive self-concept and grow in friendships and respect for others.
3. Intellectual & Physical Growth: Academic kindergarten readiness skills are incorporated throughout our curriculum (Voyages, CPH). Unit and theme topics include creative art projects, promoting fine motor and pre-writing/writing skills each day, along with alphabet and number concepts, social studies, science and language. Story and share-time promote further reading and language development. Large motor skills are offered daily through outdoor play in our spacious, inviting outdoor play area, as well as indoors with music and creative movement choices.
